AutoCAD MEP is a design and construction documentation software created by Autodesk for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing professionals. AutoCAD MEP encompasses disipline-specific tools and features that help to optimize and enhance workflow and accelerate the production of MEP designs. From design to installation, AutoCAD MEP allows users to leverage their existing contract drawings to build accurate 3D models that can be used for all aspects of the coordination process and through the fabrication process. AutoCAD MEP files can be downloaded directly into cutsheets and spoolsheets to automate fabrication. This process increases productivity, while maximizing efficiency.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives AEC professionals the insight and tools to competently and productively plan, design, construct and manage buildings and infrastucture. The integration of AutoCAD MEP and other Autodesk related software equips the user with the tools to help design, detail, estimate, fabricate and install MEP systems more rapidly and accurately. This assimilation of software is designed to improve collaboration efforts, streamline projects, and reduce the risk of waste and loss of time across the entire project. The coordination of drawings models through BIM is essentioal to reducing conflicts and costly delays in the fabrication and installation process.
While adhering to the SMACNA guidlines, Precision CAD Services, Inc uses your database to convert contract documents into 3D drawings to generate quality models for your coordination, fabrication and shop drawing requirements. Our completed drawings can include 3D equipment, equipment tagging, duct elevations and sizes, "call out" notes for special applications, item numbers for fitting identification and interpretaion of elevated sections, basement to roof risers, and even isolated systems or equipment within a drawing.

Navisworks is a 3D design review product created by Autodesk. Navisworks Manage is a comprehensive project review solution that supports coordination, interpretation and communication of design intent and constructability. Navisworks Manage allows user to share, combine, and review detailed 3D design models from multiple files formats. Management tools help construction professionals identify and minimize potential problems before construction begins; helping to reduce costly delays and material waste. Navisworks Manage is a multipurpose software program that provides some of the following features:
Clash detection and interference checking. Quickly identifying problem areas before construction through "clash detection" tools. Set your clash rules, select the disciplines to be clashed and run a report to immediately pinpint potential installation complications.
Clash and interference management. Clash detections gives users the abiltiy to record and track problem areas while keeping track of progress in solving identified issues. Clash results can be managed individually as well as creating and managing clash groups.
Multiple file formatting. Navisworks supports more than 60 different third-party applications.
BIM coordination with AutoCAD. Create NWD or NWC files from your AutoCAD drawings and integrate these files directly into Navisworks.

With Naviswork Manage, we can combine consruction data into a single model allowing for the review of the entire project models. With highly intelligent clash detection, we are able to pinpoint clashes from all trades and keep accurate and progress records for design issues. In this program we can easily create viewpoints for RFIs, design discrepancies, and coordination efforts. We use Navisworks Manage to streamline workflow across your project and extended teams to help reduce waste, increase efficiency and significantly reduce change orders.
Revit is considered to be the first fully parametric building design software. Originally intended to allow architects and other building professionals to design and document a building by creating a parametric, three-dimensional model that included both the geometry and non-geometric design and construction information (Building Information Modeling or BIM).
BIM is an approach to the entire life cycle of a project; including design, construction, and facilities management. The BIM process supports the ability to coordinate, update and share design data with project team members across multiple disciplines. By creating complete models and associated views of those models, Revit software takes much of the tediousness out of producing a building design.
Although Revit has accelerated the BIM process in revolutionary leaps, there is still room for improvement when it comes to the fabrication parts and process. Revit's decision to merely create a platform for 3rd party add-ins leaves little room for a standardized process. As with Fabrication CADmep, we ask that you have an establish database for all fabrication parts before proceeding with a project.
NOTE: AutoCAD and Revit are interoperable and can be used together, for example, to incorporate designs created in AutoCAD within a Revit project. Firms may use AutoCAD on some projects or components of a design and use Revit to generate BIM deliverables and to enable collaboration with other design disciplines.
